Bilbo Baggins is a 2023 musical comedy-drama epic high fantasy adventure film directed, produced, and co-written by George Miller. It was produced at Sydney-based visual effects and animation studio Animal Logic and presented by Warner Bros., Legendary Pictures, Village Roadshow Pictures, and Kingdom Feature Productions. The locations are in CGI while the characters and movie props are in real life. The film takes place in a world of anthropomorphic animals. It is released in Real D 3D in November 18, 2020. The film will be shown in IMAX theaters starting with December 19, 2020.
It features an ensemble voice cast of Ian McKellen, Martin Freeman, Anne Hathaway, Robin Williams, Helena Bonham Carter, Benedict Cumberbatch, Hank Azaria, John Hurt, Viggo Mortensen, Sean Astin, John Rhys-Davies, Crispin Glover, Stephen Fry, and Orlando Bloom. It also features Cate Blanchett, Hugo Weaving, the Monty Python team and Andy Serkis.
